"Unlimited waves of Nazi zombies"

No its not Left 4 Dead, its COD World at War, complete with zombies. On GametrailersTV, developers Treyarch said that once players had finished the singleplayer, they could face zombies with up to three other friends. You can build and rebuild barricades in an attempt to stop the unlimited waves of Nazi zombies. Now thats a feature that makes the game worth buying :-) . Here are some screens of the zombies: [gallery=15]

"I have to say that the next Bond game does certainly look like it is going to be the best ...

Erm...I'm struggling to find a way to start this preview other than "Bond is Back"  - well at least, he will be, on October 31st, and of course he will be appearing (For the first time ever as Daniel Craig) in video game format too. Now, for me, the best Bond game ever was Nightfire (2002) for PS2, which, though it was a very good game in most aspects, should have no trouble being outdone by its next-gen counterparts. And I have to say that the next Bond game does certainly look like it is going to be the best yet (And the first released for PC - good news for me). So what's it going to be like? Well it will be better than previous Bonds because... It's based on an updated ...

Just a quick update post on COD World at War beta. We've just got a code (but don't have an Xbox to play it on yet), so expect a preview soon (depending on when we can get hold of a 360 that will play it!) In the meantime, we've got a couple of HD videos for you.

The New Xbox Experience At this year's E3, Microsoft ...

The New Xbox Experience At this year's E3, Microsoft unveiled an update for the Xbox that looked, to be honest, pretty cool. With the release now expected to be November, Microsoft released some more screens. Its basically the same as what we've seen before, but in a bit more detail. The new avatar system has been called a copy of Nintendo's Wii avatars (by me, actually... clicky) but looks a lot better than Nintendo's. The new photos show some of the avatar options and the selection of the new avatars. Without further ado, I give to you... the new Xbox Experience! [UPDATE] Microsoft has announced the Update will start to be delivered from November 19th. The update will require 128mb of storage, something that owners of the Arcade or Core owners probably won't have. Don't fear! If you go to http://www.xboxstorageupgrade.com/hh/web/home/hhauthentication.jsp?ssLocale=en_US , ...

After this year's highly successful No More Heroes, from Rising Star ...

After this year's highly successful No More Heroes, from Rising Star Games, it seemed inevitable that there would be a second version. You continue to play as Travis Touchdown, and take on a mission of revenge after your best friend is murdered. The game's creator, Suda51 There are going to be two versions of Desperate Struggle (in the UK), one with the same 16+ age rating as the first No More Heroes, and a second with blood and gore, Rising Star Games confirmed to us. Suprise Suprise! Its a new DS. Unfortunately, Nintendo are calling it the DSi. Seriously! DSi! Oh well. Nothing they can ...

The announcement of a new DS has been on the cards for a while, but could nobody come up with a better name than DSi? Seriously, its not exactly imaginative. Even DS2 would have been better. I just had the best idea. They should change its name to Pee to go with the Wii. If someone names their product isomething, a. they are copying from Apple and b. they're trying to say "hey, we're down with the kids" which in most cases, they aren't. Its like Steve Jobs wearing jeans... I degress. The new DS will have a SD card reader, but no GBA slot. Could make Guitar Hero interesting. There are two cameras, a two megapixel one on the cover, and a 0.3 megapixel one on the inside. You'll now be able to ...

NB, this article is written for UK readers. First up, its The Orange Box, which we gave a 9.0 last year. (review here). Containing the amazing Half Lifes 2 and Episodes 1 and 2, the highest acclaimed game ever, Portal and the addictive Team Fortess 2, its easily worth the RRP of £49.99, but not even a year after its release, The Orange Box is available from Play.com for £11.99 (inc delivery). That works out at £2.40 per game! Xbox 360 and PS3. Next up, its Frontlines: Fuel of War. Available for £7.89 from Sendit.com, its good value. (PC) Next, its Lego Indiana Jones, which we gave a 7.8 (review here) Despite being relatively new, you can pick up ...

With Nintendo having added 5.8 million new users to the two systems in the past year, its clear casual gaming ...

5,800,000. Thats the number of new users that Nintendo have added in the UK since September 2007 (ie a year ago). The new DS and Wii sales, provided by GAME (for American readers, GAME is a massive high street chain over here), are humungous! DS ownership has risen from 3.8 million to 7.1 million, and Wii sales have risen from 1.1 million to 3.6 million. Microsoft and Sony have both added a million users to their 360 and PS3 consoles. This all seems slightly strange as we are all being repeatedly told that the world is sinking into recession. Michael Rawlinson from the ELSPA said this: "Our industry is proving to be remarkably robust in the ‘credit crunch’. The reason is very simple - games can offer terrific value for money. I appreciate that it is only violent or controversial games that tend to garner tabloid headlines but the truth is that the ...
