"This fantastic game is 100% FREE!"
WOAH!? What's this? Unmouldeddoor3 writing about a new game? How can that possibly be got for less than 50% of its retail price so soon? Well, fear not my cheapskate fans, because this game came out in April and I've sunk to my lowest ever level because this fantastic game is 100% FREE! Yes, you too can have these nice graphics for free The game has the same format as Trackmania United Forever, which was released the previous day to this. You can make racetracks. It's as simple as that. And unlike Formula 1 (Or NASCAR if you are an American) , these can have all sorts of additions. Loops, for example. 400 foot high banked curves. Boosters. It's up to you and it is FUN! I could spend hours just playing with the editor. This being an upgraded version of Nations (2006) it has more editing options, like ...

"Enemies fail to notice you walk up behind them"
Rat a tat go the guns, neeyoorm go the missiles, bing goes the Xbox: "achievement unlocked" argh goes your character, aww go you; you weren't quick enough, you've been stabbed for the fifty sixth time that hour. Call of Duty World at War has a lot to live up to. Last year Infinity Ward surpassed all expectations with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Heralded by many as the best game of last year, CoD4 impressed everyone. It was the multiplayer that everyone loved; it remains one of the most played games on Xbox Live, and I'm sure its the same on the PlayStation Network. So after last year's success, development duties have passed back to Treyarch, who have made the third COD. In a nutshell, CoD World at War is everything CoD4 was (but now in World War 2). But that's the problem. ...

"Lara is back."
Lara is back. There hasn't been a Tomb Raider game for a couple of years, so the release of Underworld has been attracting quite a bit of attention of late, so it seemed like quite a good time to write a preview. So, whats new? Here comes the press release! Master your surroundings: Reach new heights with the broadest range of acrobatic abilities and utilize objects within the environment to uncover new paths to explore. Explore epic and unknown worlds: Discover ancient mysteries of the underworld hidden within the coast of Thailand, frozen islands of the Arctic Sea, the jungles of Mexico, and more. ...

"If you learn to play golf, you can improve relations with the chairman"
So. FIFA Manager 09. Having not played a football manager sim for a couple of years, it wasn't a surprising thing that first impressions were good, but they were better than that; the slick, familiar EA interface was easy to use, the game was offering me just about every league in the world, and then telling me that I couldn't have all of them because my computer wasn't fast enough. Diving straight into the manager mode, the good things continued. I was surprised at the very high level of detail: "If you learn to play golf, you can improve relations with the chairman". A while later, I was managing my first game, and that was where the good things stopped. Yes, while it was a 3D match engine, it was at the level of FIFA Football 2003. But hey, its better than a ...

"Oh, and the playing of 1940s music was very classy."
I have been looking forward to playing Fallout 3, not least because it's made by Bethesda - the makers of Oblivion, which I rated very highly. In many areas, Fallout 3 is more than I expected, but it also has its shortcomings. To start, I'm going to try and work out a name for the genre. Fallout 3 is both a Role Playing Game, and a Shooter. Not a First Person Shooter, a First and Third Person Shooter. So maybe a F/TPRPGS? If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. After all, this game format is quite rare. The first thing you tend to notice about Fallout 3 is how it relates to Oblivion, at least, you do if you've played Oblivion. Some of the character voices are familiar, the initial control format, in fact, even the cheat codes are mostly the same. ...

"I just love this game"
Ok, there's some good news and some bad news. The good news is that yet another of the hugely successful modern/future strategy series, Command and Conquer is out. Sadly they couldn't be imaginative to think up a title, so they called it Red Alert 3. The bad news is that I have never played any of the C&C series so the plot will be probably hard to follow, as from what I have worked out : The Red Alert series is set in an alternative history , created when Albert Einstein travels back in time and removes Adolf Hitler to try to stop World War II (Far out or what?). This backfires and results in a Soviet invasion of Europe by Stalin, which serves as the backdrop for the first Red Alert game. Red Alert 1 is an exploration of the beginnings of the alternate history leading to the Tiberian series and is the prequel to the ...

"The multiplayer just seems to be trying to replicate the amazing success of last year's COD"
I know everyone is writing about it, but the chance to play the new Call of Duty was a chance that we could not pass up. So. I downloaded the beta to my Xbox and dived straight into a game. Five seconds later I was dead and realised I should have looked at the controls. I missed out on Call of Duty (COD) 4, so I didn't have the experience or skill that everyone else in the game had, which was unfortunate. I think thats the best way to describe it. I have to say, I wasn't very impressed. The didn't seem very polished at all, and there were a lot of glitches. Hopefully these will be sorted out by the time of the final release. Virtually everything from COD4 is there is World at War, but thats the problem. COD4 was ...

"I wasn’t ready for just how good the game is"
At this time of the year, there are so many anticipated releases that some lesser-known titles are bound to be trampled on by the heavy hitters. Dead Space looks to be one of these games, never overly hyped, and being released at a tough time, especially with games like Gears of War just round the corner. But it shouldn’t be; it has everything going for it. Impressive visuals, an epic story, and the best gameplay elements from other games in the genre. It sounded great on paper, but after playing Dead Space, I realise that I wasn’t ready for just how good the game is. Set aboard a seemingly abandoned space ship, you are part of a team sent to investigate why the ship has lost all communications. What is found up there ...

"Unlimited waves of Nazi zombies"
No its not Left 4 Dead, its COD World at War, complete with zombies. On GametrailersTV, developers Treyarch said that once players had finished the singleplayer, they could face zombies with up to three other friends. You can build and rebuild barricades in an attempt to stop the unlimited waves of Nazi zombies. Now thats a feature that makes the game worth buying :-) . Here are some screens of the zombies: [gallery=15]

"I have to say that the next Bond game does certainly look like it is going to be the best ...
Erm...I'm struggling to find a way to start this preview other than "Bond is Back" - well at least, he will be, on October 31st, and of course he will be appearing (For the first time ever as Daniel Craig) in video game format too. Now, for me, the best Bond game ever was Nightfire (2002) for PS2, which, though it was a very good game in most aspects, should have no trouble being outdone by its next-gen counterparts. And I have to say that the next Bond game does certainly look like it is going to be the best yet (And the first released for PC - good news for me). So what's it going to be like? Well it will be better than previous Bonds because... It's based on an updated ...
